December 21, 07: There are large swells happening on the North Shore these days.  While touring the island a couple of weeks ago we were treated to huge waves, some 40 ft. high.  Of course we were at a safe distance.  It has been a little chilling at night, as low at 63 degrees F. ...winter is here.  I want to thank my dear friends from Houston and San Diego who were just here.. April 25, 08: Enjoyed a wonderful birthday on the Garden Island and a visit from my British mates from Newcastle.  My Brit friends, having been raised with the movie South Pacific it was a pleasure to see their astonished faces as they gazed out upon beautiful Hanalei Bay across from the mystical Bali Hai on the viewing balcony of the gorgeous Princeville Resort Hotel.  It lies on the ver spot of the Frechman's plantation from South Pacific.  Every evening is an enchanted one.
